TIPS FOR CHECKING-IN ON ROADY

  • 1) Make sure to allow your location when using the app.
    • a. If you have already visited the app and said NO to using your location and the app shows the wrong location, you will need to go to your device's settings and allow location use for ROADY in your browser settings.
  • 2) Find the Check-in button and click it, that will open the form.
  • 3) Confirm your business information and edit it as needed. ROADY will display your company's name, phone number, and current location.
    • a. Make sure your address is correct in the input box for your location! This will be the location your fees are calculated from and needs to be correct for the app to work properly. We do not display your house number, only your City, State, and Zipcode.
  • 4) Enter your hourly and mileage rates for your service call and/or hookup call fees. You can also set the minimum hours to charge, and the app will automatically calculate your fees depending on the customer's location.
    • a. We recommend testing your rates by visiting the app at https://roady.family from a different browser or device and clicking on the map in your service area as if you were a customer looking for service. Then find your pin on the map (it will be green if you are checked-in) and click on it to open your company information. You should see the cost for service to your location, please make sure it is accurately calculating your rates.
    • b. Our algorithm will calculate the distance from you to the customer and back to your shop, yard, home, or office, making sure you get paid for all of the miles you travel. ROADY will also add the miles driven to the vehicle destination for towing jobs.
    • c. Hourly rates are totaled and adjusted by travel time as well. So if you set a minimum hourly rate at 1 hour and it takes 1.5 hrs to travel to the destination, then that time would be added to the total charge.
  • 5) Connect your existing, or create a new Stripe account by checking the checkbox while checking-in to immediately start using ROADY as your payment platform. We charge a 15% fee for using this service, paid for by the customer when they order your service with ROADY.
    • a. Existing Stripe accounts will be connected using oAuth, a secure way for applications to communicate without sharing passwords.
    • b. New accounts will be created with a full Stripe dashboard allowing your business to take advantage of all the services they offer. Check them out at https://stripe.com.
  • 6) Verify your phone number by entering the code we will send to your device when submitting the form. This makes sure only you can access your account and get the job requests for the service to work.
    • a. When someone orders your service in the app, we send you a text message that looks like this...
    • "ROADY REQUEST FROM: Jerry, PHONE: 777-555-1212, SERVICE NEEDED: Jumpstart battery at 33 South 5th Street, 89777. ACCEPT THIS JOB & GET PAID YOUR PORTION $127.50 of the $150.00 SERVICE CALL FEE RIGHT NOW. (Adjust your pricing in the app): acceptLink OR decline this job and let the next provider have it... declineLink"
  • 7) That's it! Your company will be brought to the top of the queue and recommended by our AI dispatch agent anytime someone calls or texts our 1-855-MYROADY help hotline in your area and displayed on the top of the Provider list in the app.
